Norman Rockwell Figurines
Norman Rockwell Figurines show American life at its best and its most sentimental. Rockwell, more than any other American artist captured the spirit of American life and it’s belief that we are a great nation. Rockwell concentrated on the special moments that occur in everyday life and showed the relationships between people and the concern that we have for each other.
Perhaps one of the most famous of the Norman Rockwell Figurines is shown to the left – it’s called First Haircut. It shows a barber giving a little boy his first haircut, while Dad is standing in front bribing the little boy to be quiet and still with a lollipop. It’s based on one of Rockwell’s Saturday Evening Post covers. It measures 6.5 inches tall.
